About us

The Brit-Magyar Bilingual Elementary and Middle School  perfectly combines the private school experience, the requirements of 21st century parental expectations and the immersion language methodology for children.

Educational programme

The Brit-Magyar Bilingual School uses the Hungarian National Core Curriculum and the bilingual framework curriculum as defined for bilingual schools. Furthermore, Brit-Magyar is an accredited school for Cambridge International, the second bilingual school in Hungary to achieve this. Cambridge International provides the learning framework and supporting materials for teaching English in line with the national curriculum for England.

FAQ

Our education takes particular account of the Hungarian National Curriculum (NAT). Therefore, children at Brit-Magyar Bilingual School fully immerse into the Hungarian National Curriculum, besides materials from the Cambridge International curriculum, used as a supplement.

Of course, the sooner the better, since children learn most by playing on an activity-based basis, their brains absorb information at multiple times the speed of an adult. At an early age, children do not learn a language but rather acquire it but developing intuitively through activities that develop mastery of the phonological base of a language. In addition to children’s instinct to learn languages without inhibitions or anxiety, which also helps to learn additional languages easily at a later stage.

No. Children who learn and speak an additional language in addition to the mother tongue are have enhanced learning abilities compared to their monolingual contemporaries. Language learning also promotes creativity, flexible thinking and contributes greatly to problem-solving ability.
