The entire school, both young and old, gathered in the assembly hall to appropriately commemorate October 23, 1956. This year’s program was prepared by the 6th graders, who worked with incredible enthusiasm, supporting each other week after week. They eagerly anticipated the day of the performance. They sensed the great significance of this day, quoting Péter Gosztonyi: 1956 was the great and universal joy of the Hungarian people: beautiful and glorious. Amidst the tearing forces of a tragic history, it was a warm ray of light and radiance.
