My Teaching Philosophy
My philosophy is centered on nurturing the whole person, not just filling students with facts. My journey began with a Bachelor of Education, followed by an Honours degree in Inclusive Education. This commitment is vital to me: ensuring every single child, regardless of their background or challenge, has the opportunity to fully and meaningfully engage with the curriculum. My ultimate purpose is to help children discover their own brilliance.
Why I Chose Brit-Magyar Bilingual School
The Brit-Magyar Bilingual School is a perfect fit because its mission is exactly what I believe in. I’m incredibly excited by the school’s vision to develop global citizens through its innovative educational model. Having spent six years supporting students whose home language differed from the language of instruction, I’ve developed a unique set of strategies that I’m eager to bring to this bilingual environment. I feel this is a place where I can genuinely contribute to a collaborative team and help further the school’s exciting mission.
What an Ideal Lesson Looks Like for Me
My ideal lesson is one where the students are so focused and involved that they almost forget they are “learning.” It’s an active, lively, and student-centered space. I always make a point of drawing on the students’ own experiences—their lives are a fundamental resource for our learning. When students feel seen and their experiences are valued, they light up, and the learning happens naturally.
What I Instill in Students
Above all, I want my students to leave my class with confidence and a deep sense of self-belief. I strive to instill strong values and a sense of responsibility, teaching them that learning barriers are just challenges to be overcome, not roadblocks.
How I Motivate Students to Learn
I motivate my students by keeping the classroom a positive, structured, and engaging place. I find that when the environment is right, motivation follows. This means constantly adapting my teaching strategies and differentiating the work so that no child is ever bored or overwhelmed. When a student feels truly understood and supported, they want to show up and do their best.
What I Love Most About Teaching
What I love most is the daily opportunity to make a difference and see the spark of understanding. Seeing a child who once struggled suddenly understand a concept or gain confidence is, for me, the greatest joy of the profession.
