Director’s message

Welcome to the Brit-Magyar School
Dr. Nici Wood School Senior Director

As Director, it gives me great pleasure to introduce the unique opportunities we provide for our students and their families.

With world borders continually dissolving in the context of global online communication, it becomes increasingly important for our students to be able to interact empathetically and effectively with societies that differ both linguistically and culturally. What better way to achieve this, than to develop the skills of our students using a bilingual model that integrates the Cambridge International curriculum and international pedagogy, with the Hungarian curriculum and culture.

Every day, we help our students to become the successful global leaders of tomorrow, teaching them tolerance and respect for others, with the skills to adapt to change and the confidence to express themselves. At the same time, they will have knowledge of, and take pride in, their own culture and language, representing their own country internationally.

We use the Hungarian National Core Curriculum framework (NAT) to plan and deliver our lessons physically or online, while creating links with the Cambridge International Literacy and English as a Second Language frameworks, developed for England and Wales. We create opportunities for students to develop a love for art, music, science, and culture, so that they can lead enriched lives. Personal growth and leadership are at the heart of our programme.

If you were to visit us during a school day, you would observe an atmosphere of trust and care, in which our children feel safe to challenge themselves, knowing that there are adults who are ready to help, develop and support them with everything they do. In this way, our students flourish and ultimately enjoy their experience of coming to school.

I invite you to come and visit us for yourselves, to see why we are so proud of our School and its community.
